Just for you - some sophisticated fun for the garden!

How about some great games just for the grown ups? After all, it's not just the kids that like to play in the garden during the summer! So with you in mind, Redsave.com have come up with some great sophisticated ideas that will help keep you entertained in the garden this summer. And let's face it, with the glorious sunny weather at the moment it's hard not to think about the summer!

For a traditionally English game, you want this great Garden Bowls set which has been specifically designed for your garden! It's been specially designed with extra bias (or curve) to allow for the fact that most garden lawns aren't quite ‘bowling green’ standard! The set comes in its own neat storage and carry bag so it's easily stowed away when you're not using it. This is a great game and lots of fun to play. Ideal for hours of fun in the garden and for garden parties. Since it's not a really energetic game it's perfect to play on hot summer afternoons - just split into teams and totally thrash the other side whilst you coolly sip your gin and tonic!

Or for a decidedly French slant what about this great, stylish Jeu de Boules set. Jeu de Boules is the beloved national beach sport of the French and has been played for centuries by fishermen using suitably weighed and shaped rocks. This set consists of four full sized pairs, each with a distinct pattern. They're all made in the traditional way from chrome plated steel and come in a tough nylon carrying bag for easy storage. This game is ideal for the garden as you really can play it anywhere. The aim of the game is to cast your boules towards the wooden jack (knocking your opponents out of the way as you do so!) and the winner is the one who ends up closest to the jack. This is a great competitive game and brilliant fun for your next garden party! Play it whilst you sip your deliciously cool Pastis and you'll feel distinctly continental and sophisticated!

For another quintessentially English game you can't beat Garden Skittles. ‘Old English Skittles’ was a traditional London pub game so this is best played whilst you sip on a nice cold beer! This garden-size set is deliberately chunky, so it makes a satisfying ‘thunk’ on impact! You'll get 10 skittles and two balls plus instructions on how to play of course! It comes in a neat bag that's just perfect for easy storage once you've finished playing. It really is a great game that's fun to play. So test your skill as you try to knock down all the skittles in one go! But be warned it's such good fun you might have to fight the children off to keep this game to yourself!

Here's hoping these great games will help keep you entertained in the garden this summer. Cheers!
