Mood Beams - the review!

The new latest thing?

So what are they like? Well, having just tried out one of these cute little Mood Beams, I couldn't wait to write and tell you how great they are! Personally I think they could be addictive!

The Mood Beams look great, very cute and adorable. They're about 9.5cm tall and 8.5cm wide, although they do vary in size and shape as you can see! They're white in colour and are made out of translucent rubber with painted on black eyes. Some styles have mouths too. There are 8 different styles to choose from and they're all equally cute! You could even start up a collection!

Mood Beams are battery-operated which is great because it means you can put them anywhere you want without having to worry about plugs and wires. They're great to lighten a dark corner and they really catch the eye once they start changing colours. In fact they're so small and easy to use, you can take them anywhere with you. So you could pop one on your desk at work to brighten up the office or take one with you as a night light when you go on holiday.

They are five modes to choose from which change the Mood Beam's lighting:

Heartbeat - in this mode the Mood Beam glows softly in one colour, whilst its heart beats in another colour.

Rainbow - just like its name, the Mood Beam flows through a lovely rainbow of colours.

Strobe - exactly what it says! Great for parties but possibly not for relaxing!

Colour Dance - the Mood Beam goes through a whole pattern of colour changes which is great to watch.

Colour Hold - just glows softly in one colour.

But you also have Beat Mode which is great fun! The Mood Beam has sensors which react to sound; it could be your favourite CD, the TV or even your voice. In Beat mode, the Mood Beam interacts with the music and flashes through all of its colours in time to the music!

There is a great battery saving function too. If the Mood Beam is inactive for 10 minutes it automatically switches off, saving battery life.

The Mood Beams are great fun and they make excellent night lights too. If your child doesn't like the dark these are ideal because they look so cute and friendly. They're suitable for children from age 4 upwards.

You really will find your eye drawn to these and they're curiously relaxing to watch. But be warned you might have to fight your children off if you want to keep hold of your Mood Beam - I definitely did!
